Hello, Today I have a birthday card to show you that features the flower from “Wall Decor and More” which id this weeks featured cartridge at Scrappy-go-Lucky.

I decided to layer the design four times to add a little more interest.   The flower was cut at 2.50 in…….the first layer I cut the flower design which has the flourish on it. The next three layers I cut using  flower shift. I curled the edges of the flower then stuck them all together,  a pretty button and pearl in the center complete the design. The card size is 4×6 in.

The frame around the flower is from “Story Book” It has been embossed with a cuttlebug folder. Happy Birthday is written on the sheet music, a little lace and some stitching make a simple but pretty card!

Bye for now

Tracey

Hi everyone, Enfys here. I love using simple ‘lollipop’ flowers on my cards, I make them from all sorts of things, torn book pages, nestability circles, and now, my new favourite,  using my CRI-kit pens. I used the pastel lilac pen to draw these icons from the Storybook cartridge – I wanted a monochramatic subtle look. I cut the circles at various sizes, then cut around the edges, and layered them up with foam pads.

I used a quickie glue pen to highlight bits of the drawn design and sprinkled with glitter. The edges of the circles were inked

The stems were hand cut, and the papers are by DCWV (Spring stack). There are so many Cricut cuts that can be used for this technique – browse your books and have a play. The end result gives a funky, modern look to your cards.

Hi,

Feeling quite sentimental this week, I thought it would be nice to honour Grandmothers everywhere with the beautiful images on this cartridge.

Cartridges used are “Sentimentals”, “Storybook” and “George & Basic Shapes”.  Cardstock is DoubleMates Morning Mist (black side), and the paper is Papermania Joyeux Noel collection.

This intricate frame is cut in an olive green with gold accents, with the shadow and layer in black. They are cut at 19cm.

As the black looked a little harsh, I inked in gold around the edge of the shadow, and lightly pressed the ink pad on the layer to give an old-fashioned gilded effect.

This beautiful glove is cut from a pearlised cream paper at 4cm. I cut the layer 4 times and stuck over each other to give a fine layered effect without using foam dots.  A little glitter is added along the bottom with Creative Charms pearls along the edge of the sleeve.

This gorgeous ink-pot is cut from a burgandy cardstock, with black shadow and layer. A small piece of white is adhered under the burgandy to help the word stand out. This is cut at 4cm, and the feather quill at 3.5cm. This is cut from white card, with a black shadow and silver nib layer. A touch of glitter is added to the feather.

This lovely sentiment is printed in burgandy on the same cream pearl paper. The shape is from Storybook, cut at 6.5cm. I cut a sample on scrap paper, then lined up the words to fit inside, then recut around the sentiment. This is then inked in burgandy with a dauber around the edges to soften.

This flower is cut from George & Basic Shapes using again the same cream pearl paper, and an antique gold. The gold flowers are cut in shadow at 7cm and 5cm, and a 3cm cut in silhouette. The cream flowers are cut at 6cm and 4cm. This are then layered, and touch of glitter added, and joined with a black and pearl Vintage brad.

The background is a burgandy with gold accents,  shadowed with black card. A few pearls in the corners, and some burgandy roses to finish off.

“Grandmothers are just antique little girls”
